Fétiche gives graphic novel authors a free access to our literary backlist. Each of them sets his heart on a text: a childhood memory or a recent discovery, a great classic, a forgotten masterpiece or a contemporary work. In all cases, a text he is fond of, a text he wishes to celebrate in his own way, a text he knows he can create a good graphic novel from.
Each author appropriates the chosen text with his or her favourite tools: drawing style, boxes, balloons and strips. He/She works, interprets, rewrites with all his subjectivity. He/She is the author now which means to give readers as much as he/she received.
